Vaikunta Ekadashi

 𝑽𝑨𝑰𝑲𝑼𝑵𝑻𝑯𝑨  𝑬𝑲𝑨𝑫𝑨𝑺𝑯𝑰

🚩 The importance of Vaikuntha Ekadashi is mentioned in Padma Purana. It is believed that the Devas, unable to resist the tyranny of Muran, a demon, approached Bhagwan Shiva, who directed them to Shri Vishnu. There was a battle between Shri Vishnu and the demon. Shri Vishnu realised that a new weapon was needed to kill Muran.

🚩 When Muran tried to kill Shri Vishnu, who was sleeping, a female power that emerged from Shri Vishnu burnt Muran with Her eyes. Shri Vishnu was pleased & named the Goddess ‘Ekadashi’. Then He asked Her to ask for a blessing. Ekadashi requested Shri Vishnu that the people who observed a fast that day should be redeemed from their sins and should reach Vaikuntha.

🚩 Vaikuntha Ekadashi occurs in the month of Margashirsha & 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝, 𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡.
